A Saturday in Strasbourg: The Game
OK, here's the deal . . . this is a picture of the food we bought at the market this morning. There are 13 objects in all. The game is to identify as many objects as possible, and here are some hints:1. There are only four items that were actually made by someone. For example, a tomato is grown, but a cheese is made. And all four items came partly from the milk of a cow or a goat.
2. There are three things that Uncle Wade (who is a vegetarian) cannot eat. Two (in the upper right and lower left) are a kind of bird, but they are not a chicken, turkey, duck, goose, or quail (which were also available at the market today). You know the third, but you probably didn't know that people would eat it, and it would probably freak you out.
3. Two things that are made would be easily identified by someone from France (or someone who knows french cooking basics, like Wade's Mother), but you probably have never heard of them before.
If you want to guess, post a comment.
