Egypt: Scuba Diving in the Red Sea (Hurghada)

After running around Egypt for five days, we then took a car from Luxor to Hurghada on the Red Sea. There really isn't anything historic out there - just a bunch of resorts out in the middle of nowhere.

Although we knew this was a relatively famous place to go SCUBA diving - we assumed that we would only be able to go snorkeling. Fortunately, there is a way to dive with a certified instructor without any prior training - so we took a boat into the Red Sea and did two dives - one in the morning, and another in the afternoon.

It was REALLY amazing. The coral reefs are absolutely spectacular - and we really lost count of all the fish, coral, and wildlife we saw. Perhaps the coolest thing that I saw was blue spotted ribbontail stingray - but it was a close on all the other fish and coral.

Even though we have a video of our dives and we had an underwater camera, the colors that we were able to get don't even begin to do justice to what we saw.
