A Saturday in Strasbourg: The Market

Strasbourg has a lot of supermarkets, but most people go to the outdoor markets during the day to get the best food. Saturday morning is one of the busiest times to go to the markets, because most people don't have to work.

You can find all sorts of things at the market, but we usually buy cheese, meats, vegetables, fruits, and bread. It's also a good time to be social with friends, so we usually go with our friends. It's important to buy only enough food that you think you will eat in less than four or five days, because the fresh food (although usually picked that morning) will only last that long. That's also why a lot of people go to the market everyday to buy their food.
