Egypt: The Jewish Synagogue (Cairo)

Although the primary religion in Egypt is Islam, there is still a very small population of Jews in Cairo. Most people are surprised to hear this because there is a long and painful past between Islam and Judaism - but there are still some synagogues in Egypt left.

This particular one is perhaps most famous because it is in the old part of the city, and it is believed that it marks the location where Moses was found in the Nile by an Egyptian princess.
