Olympics: Getting Home

Well, our last event was Freestyle Skiing that was cancelled due to too much snow. In order to get back to Strasbourg, this is what we had to do . . .

First, we had to walk a little bit up a mountain in order to catch a bus. The bus would then take us down the mountain to the train station. The train station would take us to the next town, where our car was parked. And then we would drive our car through Switzerland and Germany, in order to finally get home to Strasbourg.

The only problem was that we had to wait an hour for a bus. When we finally got on the bus, the one road down the mountain was blocked. After waiting another 45 minutes on a stopped bus, we got off the bus and walked 5 kilometers down the mountain to the train station (that was fun). We were able to take the train to our car, and then we drove home to Strasbourg.

We started our way back home at 7:30PM on Sunday, and we arrived in Strasbourg at 4:00AM on Monday - that's 8 and a half hours. We think if we didn't get off the bus, when we did - we would still be on top of the mountain.
