A Saturday in Strasbourg: Breakfast
First things first, I need to eat breakfast. The french don't usually have a big breakfast like we're used to (even on the weekends) - no pancakes, eggs, bacon, cereal, or even FRENCH TOAST. Most of the time they just have a piece of fruit or some yogurt, and the adults will usually have coffee. And the coffee here is about 10 times stronger and about 1/4 the size of a cup of coffee in the US - wow.So here's my breakfast this morning: a cup of coffee and a PETIT PAIN AU CHOCOLAT. That's french for a little bread with chocolate,
and you would say it like this: puh-tea pah no show-coe-la (more on the french language later). The coffee was a little too strong for me, but the little bread had some chocolate inside - it was really good.
